Poolboy "Lovebirds"
“Lovebirds” is a wonderful and dreamy piece of indie pop. The song features melodramatic synth pads, soft bells and overdriven guitars. The drums are warm, with a touch of distortion as well. In fact, the track manages to squash quite a bit of fuzz into the arrangement without losing its mid-tempo, chill energy. To hear more from Poolboy and support the band visit their bandcamp!
Cannabis Kiss "Opposite of Bliss"
“Opposite of Bliss” is a grand, DIY rock song with a scratchy and broken down production style. The vocal delivery perfectly encapsulates this track's aesthetic fluctuation between blasé nihilism and psychedelic chaos. Support Cannabis Kiss on bandcamp!
The Pale Goblin "The Grand Scheme"
“The Grand Scheme” has one of the most relaxing chord progressions ever. The beat drips with a fantastic chill energy. The drums are subtly subdued, providing just enough texture to enhance the bouncy bass line. The rap verses are interspersed with catchy, pitch modulated vocal hooks and the song features a wonderful verse from Baby Panna as well. To hear more from The Pale Goblin check out the EP “Lemon Honey Chamomile.”
Aristotle's Hope "World Without Me"
“World Without Me” is a prog rock song with lots of reverberated guitar licks and big, smashing drums. The song is cohesive amid a sweeping arrangement, varying between subtle musings to euphoric instrumental climaxes. The track is a journey to say the least. Support Aristotle’s Hope on bandcamp!
Har-Di-Har "I LOVE YOU"
“I LOVE YOU” is an indie pop track with an incredibly tight, punchy mix. Little drum sounds, clean vocals and fuzzy synths mesh together to create a neatly packaged reflection on love and hope. The song also features buzzing electric guitars and a nice building crescendo at the end. You can support this artist on bandcamp!
River Sinclaire "Driving"
“Driving” is a creative synth pop/rock song with catchy synthesizers and a steady, driving drum beat. The song mashes this incredibly distorted, almost artificial sounding guitar lead with the vocal tones in a really cool way that creates a unique and nearly unified tone. The arrangement is well crafted, allowing instrumental space between the vocal sections for the song to breathe. You can support this artist on bandcamp!
