Giallo "Pray for Death"
“Pray for Death” is a distorted onslaught of DIY heavy metal. The song features fuzzy guitars, deep growls, and smashing drums. The track has a massive and chaotic energy to it, everything is pumped with distortion to the absolute limit. “Pray for Death” comes from Giallo’s debut self-titled album.
Formerly "CAM" "Ca$h"
“Ca$h” is a sleepy hip-hop track with dark pianos and moody 808’s. At just over a minute the stellar track utilizes repetition. The piano sample, paired with repetitive singing of the word “cash” gives the song a darkly hypnotic quality. This track comes from the EP “Run Me Them Rackz.”
Joe Bartel "Powerplant"
“Powerplant” is an energetic DIY folk tune. The instrumental consists of a solitary acoustic guitar, strummed at full force and breakneck speed. The lyrics are conversational and blunt, with a modicum of irony shining through. This song is also only about a minute long, packing a lot of lyrical content into a short amount of time. This track comes from Joe Bartel’s latest album “Powerplant.”
Heart to Gold "Overwhelmed"
“Overwhelmed” is a grungy, melodic rock track with power packed guitars, massive drums, and surprisingly sweet melodies that will catch you off guard. The lyrics are sung with tons of character and conviction, soaring front and center atop an impressive instrumental that sounds well produced, full and engaging. This song comes from the album “Tom.”
Da Muffin Mayng "Red Pepper Flakes (Rfp)"
“Red Pepper Flakes” opens with a catchy synth lead hook and electronic hip-hop drums. The song features nonstop rap verses with tongue in cheek lyrics and lots of double entendres. The track isn’t overproduced, allowing the bars to shine without excessive effects. This song comes from the EP “Masters Of The Poonverse Vol. 1.”
Prize Horse "Emeryth"
“Emeryth” is an ethereal piece of hard rock with lots of midwest emo and metal overtones. The song features huge, reverbed out guitars and slow, dreamy vocals in the verses. This gives way to some big, dirty breakdowns with super distorted bass and crashing drums. The song offers a lot of dynamic and a very distinctly midwest vibe. This song comes from the EP “Welder.”
