Top songs on the Minnesota Sound playlist.

Victor Shores "Canoe"
“Canoe” is a pop punk track with pristine production, tight drum grooves and huge electric guitars. Strained vocals push through the rich mix of drums and bass to deliver some incredible melodies, perfect for those who are nostalgic for the raw, over the top style of pop rock vocalists. This tune is a great introduction to Victor Shores and comes off their new “self titled” full length album.

Pandelion "Cyber Crawl"
Pandelion is a band that bases their songs on improvisation. Refining those skills to make their recordings is a process that the group has seemed to perfect. The song “Cyber Crawl” is an almost 4 minute instrumental track that really captures the wonderful aspects of jam sessions. The groovy, casual feel is infectious and the constant influx of new ideas into the track keeps it fresh and exciting. To hear more from Pandelion check out the latest single “One Two.

Sweet Looks "MOTH TRAP"
MOTH TRAP” is the first release by artist Sweet Looks. The song features a DIY, electronic production sound beneath a captivating vocal melody. The spacey synthesizers and droning bass pair nicely with the soaring falsetto vocals. The track ends by kicking the instrumental energy up a notch, switching the simple electronic drum samples to a breakneck drum kit and adding even more spacey synths.

Exactlyno "There's No Answer"
“There’s No Answer” is a big rock song with fuzzy, distorted guitars and thundering drums. The song has a memorable guitar riff and catchy melodies. The production is pristine and the lyrics are delivered with a lot of personality and a sincerity that really bleeds through the music. To hear more from this band check out the album “Red Line City.”

Red Eye Ruby "My Name Is Ruby"
“My Name Is Ruby” is a roots-rock track with a very retro sound. The song harkens back to the very beginnings of many modern genres. The song features a shuffling drum beat, violin licks, clean electric guitar and lead vocals with just a hint of twang. It’s a really cool, nostalgic sound and comes from the band's new EP “The Ruby EP.”

Doc Rhombus "Fake My Way"
“Fake My Way” is a fascinating blend of alternative, indie and electronic styles. The song is versatile, with a lot of variety between sections. The vocals that cover the length of the track sound almost like something out of the 80’s era of pop music, reminiscent of bands like duran duran. This song is definitely worth a listen and comes from Doc Rhombus’ new album “Retroactions.”
